It was a day in March.

I still remember exactly.

I was driving through GAP in a good mood when I got the call from Freddy,

your manager.

He could hardly get a word out, then I heard far away: “Roger is dead”.

Without notice you left this world.

What remains is the memory of you and your music.

How pleasant that we have this.

It inspires me when painting and then I have the hope,

that later a part of me will live on in my paintings, as you do

as you do in your music.

I dedicate this portrait to you dear Roger.
