He leans back with pleasure and draws on his cigar.

It is still early and he is the only guest at Café Quadri under the arcades.

Only the Venetian artisans are already creative and put the original, recently somewhat dusty splendour of the interior into a poetic and contemporary context, as colourful and magnificent as the famous Murano glass.

A hot sip of coffee and he knows he is not here to live a lukewarm existence without intensity and passion.

He has acquired a taste for it and takes another drag on his cigar.

He knows he has to take risks to live intensely and totally.

But now and here he enjoys “la dolce vita”.
